Brian & Cara are #HappilyEverHunter!

"True Love doesn't happen by accident. It's deliberate, it's intentional, it's purposeful, and in the end... it's worth it!"

Brian and Cara were married on a gorgeous sunny day in June. We witnessed a beautiful love between these two people and count it a blessing to be part of one of the most important days of their lives. They had been gifted engagement photos prior to contracting with us but we got the incredible opportunity to do a bridal shoot of Cara. You can see that blog post put up a few days back. But, she looked so gorgeous in her dress and everything was perfect getting ready for the "first look."

Let's talk about Brian for just a bit. Such a genuinely nice guy! Cara got a gem in that one. He and the guys were hanging around the pool table so we took a few minutes and captured some fun pictures. Brian "won" the game...not saying HOW he did it, but....

People ask about the first look... yes or no. Although we respect our couples' decisions, we always encourage taking that special private moment, away from the crowd, especially allowing the groom the opportunity to really take in the breathtaking vision in front of him. Brian didn't want to do the first look, but was "voted out" as he said. But, as you will see in the photos later, the first look didn't take away from the joy they expressed as they saw one another in the aisle of the church. We are also able to have a few more moments of time that we might not have had, were the pictures delayed until after the wedding. Besides, after the first look we had some fun with the bridal party for some fun pictures!

Time to hop into the limo and head out for some fun pictures! Cara attended at KU and knew of some beautiful spots. And can we just stop right here and mention they had the best wedding party! Everyone was so much fun and super cooperative. And a ton of personality!

Everyone loaded up into the limo, and headed out... well, the limo experience was not as was expected and well, let's just say the company got an earful! They sent a replacement mini-bus which was definitely better but because of the delay it was time to head to the church. Clearfield United Methodist Church in Eudora, Kansas, holds a special place in the bride's heart. This was her childhood church and the she knew that this was the place for the two of them to make their covenant. From the walk down the aisle to the ringing of the church bell, it was such a beautiful ceremony. Watching these two looking at one another with those loving eyes made everyone just gush with happiness for the happy couple.

Off to the reception at the beautiful Doubletree Hotel in Lawrence. The bride and groom entered straight into their first dance and it was so much fun to watch them! Sometimes they giggled, and sometimes they just looked at one another and smiled. It was really special.

We did get the chance to steal away for a few sunset pictures before we left for the night. What a wonderful day and we are so thankful to be part of it. We hope this is just the beginning of a long photo relationship with the Hunters! Congrats!!!
