“If I had a flower for every time thought of you… I could walk through my garden forever.”
All week long we monitored the weather because Alyssa and Christian had planned this beautiful backyard wedding, green and luscious. But that rain! Alyssa said, "If one more person says, 'rain on your wedding is good luck...'" And sure it is but you don't want a downpour! And just like that, the clouds parted just long enough to enjoy a beautiful ceremony in the place they planned.
We met the bride and groom through mutual friends and were so excited to be part of the beginning of their forever together. Alyssa made such a beautiful bride and Christian was beyond ready to call her his wife.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and as Christian's grandmother Barbara gave her charge on love to the newlyweds, she talked about what truly matters in a marriage and the beauty in having each other. She handed them a beautiful champagne flute that was full on the spring water from his family's property, which has memories tied for both the bride and groom.
They saved their first look for the alter. Every bride wants that first glance to show anticipation and excitement. And Christian did just that! His huge smiles were so infectious and she was so cute looking back at her groom as she walked down the aisle. After the ceremony we had a little time to capture the sweet love of these two. The rain did begin to drop just a bit but that was ok cause it made for some cute pictures!
Let the Celeberation Begin! Christian and Alyssa are so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends, and family that were so happy to celebrate them. The festivities of the party were full of laughter and excitement!
