We met Jodi and Crystal at a Berry Acres open house and couldn't get over how cute they were together. Every time we saw them, whether it was at an open house or during their engagement session, they showed a quiet and sweet love for one another. You just couldn't help but fall in love with them!
Jodi & Crystal chose to do a private first look and it was so special. The love they have for one another is truly evident throughout the day. Jodi's pantsuit was perfect for her and Crystal's gown was breathtaking! She has the perfect figure for this dress! Normally, we would have one person face away and the other walk up behind. Instead, we decided to have Crystal facing away and brought Jodi out, walking backwards. That way neither one saw the other until the same time. And when they turned, it was perfect. Jodi's expression was priceless.
Doing the first look gave us lots of time to take advantage of the beautiful acreage at Berry Acres and get some great shots of the two of them. Because they had so many great friends, so as not to lift one over another, they opted not to have anyone stand up with them. So this time of photography was just for the two of them and it couldn't have been more sweet.
Sadly, Jodi's mom was unable to make the trip, but that's what great friends are for!!! There was either an iPad or iPhone with FaceTime happening the entire day so Mom could be part of the day. Jodi was walked up by her brothers, George & Don and Crystal walked up with her mom, Joyce. And the officiant, Jodi's nephew, was Collin Hoyer and I guess they are now even since Jodi officiated at Collin's wedding 3 years ago!! It's awesome that they have that joint memory to share!
The reception, in royal blue and pink, was full of close friends and family, all gathered together to celebrate the day.
It's every photographer's dream to provide some awesome sunset pictures of the couple. But, it doesn't always work out. Sometimes, there is no sunset, only clouds. But not this time! Jodi and Crystal were ready and willing to head back outside to grab some great photos!
